Should you need to trim content from one of you lectures, you can do so directly through Brightspace or Mediaspace. Note that you must own the video or be listed as an editor. If you do not own the video, please reach out to it@purdue.edu for assistance.
Open your course in Brightspace and select Kaltura Media Gallery from the Course Tools dropdown.
Scroll down until you find the lecture you would like to edit.
Note that you must have ownership of the old recordings or they will not show up in the list of available recordings. If you don't own the lectures, please submit a request to cophelp@purdue.edu and we can help you gain access.
Log into your course in Brightspace.
Select the content tab at the top of the screen.
Click the existing activities button then select "Add Kaltura Media".
Log into https://mediaspace.itap.purdue.edu and locate your video under My Media. Click the edit icon towards the right of the page..
Click the captions tab.
If you would like to have your course recorded, you can schedule them through the Boilercast support web page. Please note that even with the focus on e-learning, your recordings will not be scheduled by default, so you will still need to do it.
