If the computer is not on Purdue's network, connect to the VPN.
Press the windows key + R to open the run dialog. type cmd into the textbox and press enter.
In the terminal window, enter the command "gpupdate /force" (without the quotes) then press enter.
You should receive a message that group policy has updated. If the message indicates that you need to reboot, please reboot to complete the process.
Leave the computer online and connected to the VPN for a couple of hours so it can download the latest updates.
