This is a spear phishing attempt that appears to come from a department head. The scammer will attempt to create a sense of urgency and try to intimidate you into following their instructions. If you receive an email like this, forward it as an attachment to abuse@purdue.edu.
How we know this is phishing or malicious:
The email comes from a gmail address and has the external email banner.
It is a variation on the "available cell number" scam emails we have received in the past.
